Worlds Atlas is an independent companion for following the League of Legends World Championship on the web and iOS. Browsing remains available without an account. The web community uses optional Google, Apple or ChatGPT sign-in for publishing, replies and reactions. We do not sell personal information, show personalized advertising, or use data for cross-app tracking.
Mac Pro account trial / Mac Pro
Signing in from the Mac app can claim one 24-hour Pro trial per Worlds Atlas account. We store the internal account identifier, original claim and expiry times, and hashed Mac session tokens. Linked sign-in providers share the account's trial. Signing out, reinstalling, or switching devices does not restart it. The trial ends automatically without creating a paid subscription or charging you. Mac session credentials are stored in Keychain; private viewing notes remain on your Mac. Access is periodically verified online and temporary device access expires if it cannot be renewed. Delete your account at /account/delete, also linked from Mac account settings. After identity confirmation, deletion removes the profile, linked sign-in identities, community content, avatar, sessions and trial records; linked Apple authorization is revoked. Apple subscriptions are not cancelled and local Mac notes are not erased.
可在 Mac 账号设置进入 /account/delete 删除账号。
Community accounts and public posts /
Google and Apple sign-in verify provider-issued identities on the server. Provider subject IDs are stored as private account links; we do not automatically merge accounts using email addresses. Users may explicitly link another provider while signed in. Application sessions use random tokens in secure, HTTP-only cookies; only token hashes are stored on the server, with a maximum 30-day session lifetime. Temporary login challenges expire after 10 minutes and are single-use. Signing out revokes the current application session.
ChatGPT sign-in supplies a Site-specific account identifier and account email to the server. We store that identifier with a randomly generated public profile ID, your chosen nickname and optional bio. We do not store or publish your login email in community profiles or posts. Posts, replies, linked match topics and reaction counts are public; reaction ownership and reports are kept server-side for operation and moderation. Records follow the same account across browsers. Sign-out ends the session but does not delete published content.
You can change your nickname and bio and withdraw your own posts or replies. Withdrawal removes the public text; minimal identifiers, relationships and moderation records may remain for integrity and abuse prevention. Contact the address below for account-data deletion requests. Drafts may remain in browser session storage to survive sign-in and can be cleared by clearing site data.
Information stored on your device
The iOS app stores preferences such as language, appearance, selected season, replay source, motion settings, and spoiler-free choices in Apple’s local preferences system. These settings remain on your device and are not uploaded as analytics.
Region Roar and live reactions
When you use Region Roar or send a live reaction, the app creates a random device token. The token is transmitted to Worlds Atlas to keep your latest seasonal vote and apply interaction cooldowns. Storage uses a one-way pseudonymous hash. We also store the selected team/region or reaction, voluntarily chosen public message and avatar, app locale, timestamps and aggregate counts. Current-season sharing replaces your previous vote/footprint rather than adding another vote.
When you choose “Share approximate area” in the iOS app, Worlds Atlas requests location access while you use the app. The precise reading is immediately converted on your device into a coarse quarter-degree grid cell, roughly 10–30 kilometers across depending on latitude. Only the integer grid cell is uploaded; raw GPS coordinates are never uploaded or stored. You may decline and still cheer without sharing device location. Our edge server may use a two-letter country or territory code as a fallback.
With explicit “public footprint” consent, your anonymous avatar and approximate grid area can appear even if you are the only participant. We keep only the latest footprint per device for the season: sharing again replaces the previous position, and you can remove the footprint from the sharing controls. Time filters use its latest update; the “All footprints” view keeps voluntarily shared footprints visible until withdrawn. Your earlier locations are not automatically converted to single-person public footprints: legacy cheers retain their original three-device aggregation rule. Map identifiers rotate daily and raw device tokens and precise GPS coordinates are never returned. Current viewports return at most 100 cells. Fictional DEMO footprints are labeled, can be hidden, and are not included in real user or cheer totals.
This information supports the feature’s operation and abuse prevention. It is not combined with an account, advertising profile, Riot account, or data obtained from other apps.
Public comments, sandbox chat and safety
Comments, map cheer messages and sandbox chat are optional public contributions. Your chosen nickname, fictional avatar appearance, virtual in-room position and messages may be visible to other spectators. Do not share real names, contact details or sensitive information. The sandbox does not request GPS. A random local pseudonymous identifier supports room reconnection, blocking and abuse prevention; the iOS app retains it locally across sandbox sessions. It is not an advertising identifier.
Map messages can be reported or blocked from the selected footprint. Public map IDs still rotate daily; private block records refer to the underlying pseudonymous footprint identity, so an ID rotation does not undo your block. Blocking hides the public participant/message, not their contribution to real aggregate vote totals. Anonymous identities are scoped to their feature/room and are not verified people. Clearing app/browser data can create a new identity. CN remains read-only and does not enable these write controls.
Post-match comments remain until edited, withdrawn or removed by moderation. Server-side pseudonymous author identifiers allow blocking across newly submitted comments; older comments without that mapping are blocked within their original match/game. Blocking applies to that anonymous identity, not a verified person, and clearing device storage can create a new identity. You can undo blocks from the blocked-users controls. Ordinary room chat is held temporarily in a bounded in-memory buffer, not a permanent transcript.
Reports store the reported message, reason, pseudonymous reporter/target identifiers and time for investigation. They are accessible only to authorized moderators, not other spectators. Resolved report evidence is removed after 90 days during maintenance/review; pending investigations may be retained until resolved. Room reports are retained for up to 90 days and cleaned when the queue is reviewed. Server-side baseline filters and rate limits reduce abuse but cannot catch every harmful message. Use Report, Block or contact zixiaww@gmail.com for safety and privacy requests. We aim to review reports within 24 hours; urgent concerns should be sent to support.
Legacy ratings and fan MVP votes
When you submit Atlas ratings or a fan MVP ballot, we store your selected players, scores, a timestamp, and a pseudonymous identifier derived from your random device token using a server-held key. The stored ballot identifier is scoped to the match. We use it to allow one ballot per device, let you update or withdraw it, and prevent abuse. This feature does not request or use your location, and individual ballots or device identifiers are not publicly displayed.
Aggregate averages, rating counts and MVP vote totals are public. Voting normally closes 48 hours after a verified match completion time. You can withdraw your stored ballot through the feature even after voting closes, while your device identity is available; withdrawals also update the aggregates. Ballots are retained for the event’s rating history unless withdrawn or removed through a privacy request. Temporary pseudonymous rate-limit keys expire after 15 minutes and are cleaned up during later submissions.
Hupu panels show attributed public ratings and short excerpts with source links; authors retain rights. These are reading-time snapshots, not Atlas votes. Other external entries link to their original providers. Opening or previewing third-party pages is subject to their policies.
Network and service data
The website collects first-party page-view counts and approximate unique-browser counts for its public traffic dashboard. A random browser token is hashed before storage, separately from community features. We store the page path and visit time for a rolling 90-day reporting window, with older records pruned during subsequent visits, but no IP address, query string, page content, precise location or full referrer in these analytics records. Only aggregate totals are public. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this collection. Different browsers or cleared storage can count separately, so these totals do not identify individual people. Historical visits before collection began are unavailable. The iOS app uses a separate random installation token for first-party daily active installation and text-live room-entry counts. Tokens are hashed by platform before storage; raw tokens, IP addresses, names, emails and precise location are not stored in analytics. App analytics can be disabled in Settings. Product event records are retained for a rolling 90 days and pruned on subsequent collection. Only aggregate results are public. Web and iOS identifiers are not linked, so combined device totals are not unique people. Room entries are deduplicated per device and match within 30 minutes; they are visits, not account logins. Collection begins with the instrumented release; earlier iOS activity is unavailable.
Our hosting and security providers may process standard request information, such as IP address, device or browser type, request time, and diagnostic logs, to deliver and protect the service. Worlds Atlas does not use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs in the iOS app.
External video and data sources
Worlds Atlas may link to or embed official and publicly available services such as YouTube and Bilibili. When you open or play third-party content, that provider’s privacy policy and terms apply. Tournament data, team marks, and video rights remain with their respective owners.
Retention and security
Hashed interaction records and aggregate counts are retained as needed to operate the feature, prevent duplicate activity, preserve event totals, and maintain the service. We use encrypted HTTPS connections and limit stored identifiers to hashed, pseudonymous values.
Your choices
You can use the core schedule, tournament map, archive, and replay features without sending a Region Roar vote or live reaction. Sharing an approximate area is optional and can be denied or changed in iOS Settings without blocking a cheer. You can reset locally stored preferences by deleting the app. For privacy questions or requests, contact zixiaww@gmail.com.
Children
Worlds Atlas is intended for a general esports audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, precise locations, payment information, or other account information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
